On March 11, 2022, Resilient Northeast Georgia and the ACCGov Economic Development Department hosted the Georgia Justice Project in a virtual webinar to discuss second chance employment, the practice of hiring individuals with criminal records. This webinar discussed the practice of second chance employment as a way to address the labor shortage and explored relevant local data and policy work, including the Georgia Justice Project’s advocacy initiatives.

Below is the recorded webinar and a copy of the slides presented by the Georgia Justice Project. Additionally, a brief resource guide has been compiled from the resources shared during the training session and can be found below as well.

On May 20th, Resilient Northeast Georgia partnered with ACCGov Economic Development and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce to once again host the Georgia Justice Project. This Q&A Session, posted below, served as a follow-up conversation to the original webinar and allowed attendees to ask GJP’s lawyers questions in real-time.
