  • Regional emphasis on trauma-informed awareness and care, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and child sexual abuse prevention training in a cross-sector setting

Morgan County Family Connection works to improve outcomes related to early literacy, child abuse prevention, workforce development, and family support through partnerships with local service providers and stakeholders. In collaboration with Resilient Northeast Georgia’s trauma-informed communities initiative, Morgan County Family Connection will present training opportunities and evidence-based family support services to increase provider capacity and increase awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences.

As a part of the Resilient Northeast Georgia coalition, Morgan County’s Family Connection collaborative will host and pursue community training events for the faith-based community, educators, youth-serving organizations, families with school-aged children, and the community at large. This focus on trauma-informed training will lead to the creation and development of a common language surrounding trauma prevention and mitigation in Morgan County.
