Jasper County Family Connection focuses on initiatives that strengthen student success and family stability through partnership with local service providers and stakeholders. In collaboration with Resilient Northeast Georgia’s trauma-informed communities initiative, Jasper County Family Connection will help adopt a community approach to building a common language and awareness of trauma-informed care and Adverse Childhood Experiences prevention using a community resilience building model. The collaborative will provide community training events that increase community capacity for action and support a growing knowledge base surrounding adversity and resiliency.
As a part of the Resilient Northeast Georgia coalition, Jasper County Family Connection’s collaborative is partnering with local service providers and the community at-large to address early childhood trauma through the lens of school and family support systems. A key part of this strategy will be achieved through the continued regional and county-level cooperation under a common goal: the prevention and mitigation of trauma in the birth-to-26 community.
