Resilient Northeast Georgia is a coalition of community stakeholders, partners, and leaders working to build a more trauma-informed northeastern Georgia. Our coalition serves the 12 counties within Georgia Family Connection Partnership Region 5.

Athens Area Community Foundation
The Athens Area Community Foundation serves as a trusted guide for local philanthropy, trusted partner for local organizations, and a trusted community leader for the Athens area and surrounding region. Working to grow giving by inspiring generous communities and creating lasting impact, the Athens Area Community Foundation serves as the coalition’s fiscal agent and a key coalition leader of Resilient Northeast Georgia.
Georgia Family Connection Region 5
Georgia Family Connection Partnership’s Region 5 is a network of partner agencies dedicated to the health and well-being of families and communities. Collaborative leadership works within their county to identify needs, resources, and services that can help to reduce barriers and gaps in service. The twelve counties that make up Resilient Northeast Georgia are each taking a unique approach to the prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences, working to specifically tailor initiatives, trainings, and programs to bring the most impactful resources within the county’s area of service.
Athens Wellbeing Project
The Athens Wellbeing Project works to empower the Athens community with meaningful data that will lead to more informed decision-making, improvements in service delivery, and greater quality of life for our citizens. This data informs the direction of Resilient Northeast Georgia’s work, highlighting key areas of need that can be addressed through the coalition’s grant aims. Additionally, the Athens Wellbeing Project acts as the evaluating body in the coalition, using data and community indicators to track and analyze the reach and effectiveness of programs, policies, and initiatives.
